Record the patient’s choice
In the patient record, find Email reminders. Record agreement only after the patient has agreed. Record withdrawal when requested.
Without recorded agreement, reminder jobs are skipped. Patient-portal access invitations are separate transactional messages.
Add a caregiver contact
Use Contacts to store a caregiver’s name, relationship and contact details. Check the details with the patient.
A caregiver contact is a way to reach someone. It does not let them sign in to the patient’s records.
Choose the available channel
Talven currently uses email for its configured notifications. WhatsApp messaging is not connected.
The clinic should use its normal contact process when email is unavailable or unsuitable.
