APPOINTMENTS & ARRIVAL
Appointment & Queue Management Software for Clinics
Clinic appointment management coordinates planned visit times, doctor availability and changes to the schedule. Queue management records what happens after arrival. Talven connects the calendar, check-in and consultation around the same patient record.

Book against the doctor's actual schedule
Find the patient, choose the doctor and select a time. Working hours and blocked time help reception see availability. Day and week views support different planning tasks, while the selected appointment provides the next action.
- Book, reschedule or cancel a visit
- Configure doctor availability and time away
- Open the patient record from the visit
Keep arrival separate from booking
A booked appointment does not mean the patient has arrived. Check-in records arrival, and consultation status shows when the doctor has started. Decide locally how walk-ins and delays should be handled; the calendar is not a clinical triage tool.
- Record patient arrival at reception
- Hand off a checked-in patient to the doctor
- Distinguish completed visits from missed or cancelled appointments
Let invited patients request a visit
The patient portal offers available times and supports appointment requests and eligible rescheduling. A request is not automatically a confirmed visit: the clinic reviews requests. Email reminders also depend on recorded agreement and a usable email address.
- Patient-facing booking within clinic availability
- Explicit request and appointment status
- No claim of WhatsApp or SMS reminders
Does a booking guarantee the doctor will see the patient at that exact time?
No. A scheduled time is a plan. Consultation length and delays still need communication at reception; Talven does not promise real-time waiting estimates.
Can reception use the calendar for walk-ins?
Reception can register or locate the patient, create the visit and record arrival. Use your clinic's own policy for balancing booked patients and walk-ins.
